Google+ Invites & Why Google+ Will Beat Facebook

Firstly, If you want a google+ invite I would be happy to give you one. Just leave your email in the comments below and I will send the invite as soon as I can.Now onto why i think Google+ will beat Facebook.

Google did a great job with design of Google+. Hiring the guy that initially designed the Mac (osx) GUI and giving him free rein on design has definitely paid off. I used to really like the Facebook style as well. It was clear to see where things were and the blue and white theme was great. Now however, they have built way too much stuff on top and its getting really cluttered. 1 point Google+.

On G+ you can group video chat with hangouts which is a really neat idea that hasnt been done before in this casual  "drop by whenever" style. You can also video, voice or text chat with other google+ users as well as your google contacts! Facebook has brought out one on one video chat. The day after this was meant to be released I tried to get it to work but it wouldnt on my mac. I then tried on my computer running Ubuntu and eventually figured out they dont even have it working on Linux yet! 2 points Google+.

You can selectively share on G+ very easily with the circles feature. Now I dont have to worry about my bosses seeing my posts! On Facebook I had to restrict their access but that made it really hard to share something with them if I wanted to. On g+ I select who I want to share things with at the time of sharing which is really working. No half working "set and forget" like Facebook. 3 points Google+.

G+ goes where you go. I really like how you can see notifications from any google window, such as gmail or a search.

Google+ has been in closed beta for 2 weeks and has 10million users. it took Facebook 2 years to get to 10million user and this was fully released mind you.
