Now I will show you how to download a .torrent file and the files associated with it. Bear in mind this is the very basics of how to install a torrent client and download the torrent. I will be adding more advanced tutorials once I have added the basic ones like this.
1. To use BitTorrent we first need a torrent client. This client manages all the downloading and uploading that happens. My client of choice is Utorrent because of its full feature set, simplistic layout and how little space the program actually takes up on your computer.
Download and install Utorrent here: http://tinyurl.com/3euy7gu there are versions for Mac, Linux and Windows. (If your having problems installing, leave a comment below)

2. Now to download something with Utorrent you need find the .torrent file for something you want to download.
Go to a torrent search engine and find a torrent you would like to download. Popular torrent search engines include IsoHunt and the PirateBay. To find something to download either click browse, or search for something specific in the search box.
3. Download the torrent file. This should be a very small file and only take a few seconds to download depending on your internet connection speed. This .torrent just tells the torrent client where to look for the files you are wanting to download.

4. Utorrent should automatically open and ask you if you want to add the torrent when you download it. If this doesn't happen you can open Utorrent and drag the .torrent file into it with the same effect.
The files you have added will now be downloaded. When you are finished downloading you can right click the torrent in Utorrent and select "stop".
